He's gone :(
Sorry I haven't been around much at all, we've just been trying to enjoy every last minute together as a family.
And we got A LOT of time in together! :) I was SO thankful for that.
This is a long road a head of us. But I know we can do.
Our ship had family day they left, and it was amazing to spend time with him, yet oh so bittersweet.
My husband during family day got "voluntold" that he was manning the rails. And I thought how exciting..
I found him, and just watching him stand there in parade rest my heart fell into the pit of my stomach, knowing thats the last time I'll seen my husband in person for 8 months.
I broke down on that pier and it seriously felt like my world had crashed all around me.
After the ship had pulled away and we all started leaving the pier, I get a text "I seen you cry the entire time" I just had to laugh at him. Thanks babe for telling me that.
In all honesty though, I'm pretty sure I've never cried as much as I did that day.
So here brings me to day #2...another day to get through.
But I have found such a strong support system since they have been gone.
And that's exactly what has gotten me through these past two days! :)

Being MIA

Sorry I've been MIA latley, I've been super busy :)
My husband will be returning home REALLY soon :) So it's been cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning.
On an AWESOME note, I weighed myself the other day, and I've lost over 10 pounds since my husband has been gone, if that keeps up I'll have NO problem while he's deployed getting back to my 110 lbs that I want to be again :) [that was my pre-pregnancy weight]
Christopher is getting so big. He's been getting up on ALL fours are rocking back and forth
I have a feeing baby proofing more and more will be coming up soon.
He's scooting ALL over the place :) I love it, but he's everywhere! LOL

I talked to my husband tonight, it was amazing, i'm just SO ready for him to get home <3

Not my typical post..

Today is an extremley sentimental day for me, today would've been my brother's 27th birthday..
He took his own life in 2009. I miss him more every single day. I just wish he was still here.
He was such a fun loving, outgoing person.
this was actually taken at our sister and I's birthday party.
2 weeks before..I miss him insanely. I wish he were still here for so many reasons.

I have loved these past few days :)

Oh how I love phone calls that love hours on end(:
I have the most amazing husband in the world.
Concieted I know, psht it happens. (:
But, goodness do I miss him. This time needs to hurry up and go by faster.
He told me to do something for myself yesturday and I knew the PERFECT thing ;)
I've been talking about it for YEARS, literally YEARS! :)
And I LOVE it :)
I'm gonna take today and hang out with my little man(:

I'm not sure..

Okay, I'm not sure if this is a vent or if I'm just upset.
So, My husband made 2nd class and a people just stopped talking to me.
It's kinda annoying, I won't lie.
I really thought these couple people were people I could turn too...
Apparently NOT!
I got really close with these couple girls, then all of a sudden my husband makes rank and they turn their backs on me.
...I honestly have NO idea what to think.

To be honest, I'm glad I have negativity OUT of my life.
People that hate themselves will always try and bring the ones with the perfect life down :)
That may make me sound concieted, but I know I have a perfect marriage, the perfect husband and a perfect little boy :)

Okay that's not creppy or anything...

Okay, so a friend of mine's post made me what to go look at my stats, and let me tell you...
I've got readers from all different countries, I can't admit I'm 100% comfortable with this either.
I know what your looking for, and sorry you're not going to find it here, ya creepos.
I have quite an audiance from Iran, yeah...exactly.
I won't lie..I just locked down my facebook, and it's as hidden as Ft. Knox.
And, guess what I'm not afraid to do it with this either...seriously.
I'm going to share something BRILLIANT it's called OPSEC
Whoever decided we need it was a brillaint person. In idiot's tems it means
In Military terms (and spouse terms)
  • Operations security (OPSEC) is a process that identifies critical information to determine if friendly actions can be observed by adversary intelligence systems, determines if information obtained by adversaries could be interpreted to be useful to them, and then executes selected measures that eliminate or reduce adversary exploitation of friendly critical information.
I love my husband with everything I am, so there's NO WAY IN HELL I WILL BE PUTTING HIM IN ANY KINDS OF DANGER!!!

Please excuse the fact that I haven't been around latley.
These past few days have been hell.
Wensday night I was in the ER with my little man who had a temperture at 103 and just throwing up insanely.
So I was in the ER from 10:00pm-1:30am =/ They look blood, they took urine (by cathather, which I was FURIOUS about!) and then xrays of his chest. He was miserable.
No mother likes seeing her baby sick.
He's been feeling a little bit better, but he's still not back to himself, just yet.
So, momma has been exhautsed with having a sick baby.
I'm just hoping he gets to feeling better and soon.
On a higher note, today my hubby got frocked to E5 :) I am so proud of him. I just wish I could've been there.
(For non military readers, frocked means pinned to a higher rank)

Can I just say..

Today has been the BEST day! =)
Okay, well first I get a call at 1:15 this morning from an 'unknown' number.
And I just knew instantly who it is, the love of my life <3Our phone call lasted 45 minutes!
We just talked about anything and everything. And the phone call was actually clear.
Normally, it's super delayed and you can barely here anything! We got to talk about the E5 exam, and I asked him did he think he was going to make it.
his response was "if i do, i do, if i don't i don't, i've got 3 more years to do it!"
Of course, typical guy response! Well results were released first thing this morning....
And I wake up to this email, and I quote...
"baby, guess what guess what guess what i did it i did it i did it!"
expect that it was all in caps! LOL
I am SO proud of him, he deserved this! =)
Only 40 people in his rate made E5 and he was one of them! =)
My whole day has been excitement =)

Honestly, I haven't had a lot to write about, besides for the fact that I have been SUPER down.
I am SO over this underway and deployment, and deployment hasen't even started.
I just want my husband to myself! Our son needs his daddy =/
So, dear underway JUST END ALREADY!
I'm tired of waking up alone. I'm tired of going to bed alone. I'm tired of eating alone.
Gosh, I feel like a baby.
Found this quote, and it explains exactly how I'm feeing today...
Exactly. I'm missing everyhing about him.
Hell, today I've been missing him so much I sprayed his colougne on myself and I'm wearing some one his deodorant
(he buys a stick just for me, just for this reason! lol)
I started feeding our little many baby food. HE LOVES IT! =)
It's so sad for me though, my babyboy is growing up, I kinda wish he'd stop!
When daddy is home for good, then he can start growing again.
He's missing everything and it breaks my heart! =/
Tonight is just going to spent relaxing with little man, then once he goes to bed. It's Army Wives time!

Have to share my excitment!

So, my husband has been SUPER busy this underway!
So he hasen't had much time to email, which has made me SUPER down.
But last night at about 12:30am, I got an email <3 And enclosed was a picture
Now, that oh so handsome sailor in the middle, is my amazingly gorgeous husband <3
Now, I had already seen this picture on the ship's facebook. They love to take pictures for the family back home to see.
Now, I knew that man was my husband, but I didn't wanna get to excited and then feel like a complete idiot when it wasen't!
But sure enough it is =)
It brighted up my day real quick. I've been missing him oh so badly these past couple days.
I'm not sure if it's the icky rain that's making me so down or what!

You know your a military spouse when...

Okay, Haven't been around latley, Been keeping busy with my little man and friends =)
But here's a pretty awesome thing I found =)

You know you're a Military Spouse When.....

+ You don't mind a phone call waking you up at 4 a.m.
+You have a mini heart attack when you realize you forgot to take your phone in the bathroom with you :)
+ You tell people that ask that he's 'only' been gone a month.
+ The smallest contact (short email or 2 minute phone call) from your man makes your entire week!
+ You cry over an email that says nothing more than hey- I love you and I miss you.
+ Those recruitment commercials on TV make you cry because you are so proud!
+ You're sitting at home and you realize that you haven't talked to your boyfriend/hubby (on the phone) in over a month.
+ You become heartbroken just knowing that your boyfriend/hubby tried to call but wasn't able to get through.
+ You stop shaving above the knees.
+ A 30 second phone call after no calls from him for weeks leaves you full of joy and happiness.
+ "No news is good news" becomes your motto.
+ You could wait forever for your loved one to return home into your arms.
+ You feel yourself growing more and more in love with your military man even while he's so far away.
+ You hold off on seeing certain movies so you can see them with your military man when he comes home.
+ YOU WANT TO ROLL YOUR EYES WHEN YOU HEAR SOMEONE SAY, "I haven't seen my boyfriend/girlfriend or hubby/wife in a week!".
+ You can go from being happy, to sad, to lonely, to angry, to proud, and back to happy in a matter of less than an hour.
+ You sleep with the phone right next to you, just in case.
+ The people at your work ask about your boyfriend/hubby every day to see if you've heard from him.
+ The sight of any other man in a uniform makes you miss your boyfriend/hubby MORE than it makes you drool.
+ You feel lucky for each second granted to the two of you.
+ Phone kisses are just as good as the real ones if not better.
+ You realize you can forgive your boyfriend/hubby for not calling you for a few weeks due to the fact he really had to work.
+ Your cell phone shows 87 screens full of the number 2 for "repeat message" after you hear he left you a voice mail because you missed his first and only call so far!
+ Going 3-6 months without seeing your man seems like a drop in the bucket compared to what you have been through before.
+ You haven't heard from them in awhile and you find yourself reading the old letters you have received. It's just something comforting to feel close to him in a way.
+ You don't bat an eyelash when he say's "Uh, Honey they changed when I'm supposed to return home, yet again (for the 18th millionth time)".
+ Everytime you see him it feel's like it's for the first time all over again...EVERYTIME.

Being MIA

I've been down for the count latley, not even a week after my husband left I ended up with the flu.
It NEVER fails that it ALWAYS happens, everytime he leaves. So I'm stuck with a 5 month old on my own, oh what a life of a Navy Wife! Oh, and to top it off he's come down with something as well. Luckily, his is just conjestion and it's began breaking up. And I'm started getting over my flu. Yay!
It's mothers day, and I really wish my husband was home. I did get 3 red roses yesturday, and when I asked him why there are 3, he said because we have 3 in our family.
I thought about making a joke to him about "so to get a dozen, should we plan for 9 more kids"
That would've been a nice laugh for him.
I've been really down latley, because of deployment sneaking up really soon.
I'm not ready for him to leave for months on end. Now a lot of people would ask
"if you're not prepared why marry military"
Now, that's a dumb question. Your NEVER ready for them to leave, whether it's for a day, a week, a month, or a year. And what I'm about to say is going to puzzle some people, I didn't marry a Sailor, I married a man who happens to be a Sailor! It's true, I fell in love with my husband, NOT his uniform (I mean don't get me wrong, my husband looks damn sexy in his uniform though!)
I'll be by his side, long after the Navy is out of our lives!

He's gone. :(
You'd think I'd get used to the coming and going, but I don't. And whoever said "this gets easier"
They lied to me. =/ Not nice. Not nice AT ALL!
My friend and I went to base today, expecting the ship to already be gone, just to get there as it was JUST pulling out, my heart literally shattered into a million pieces watching that big ugly aircraft carrier take my best friend, my soulmate, the love of my life away,
Dear USS John C. Stennis ;; I HATE YOU!!!!!
gosh. If I'm this bad ALREADY....
Which, by the way is REALLY getting close, as the days keeps keeps peaking it's ugly head in a little more....evvverryyday! I HATE IT!!!!
But I know I have to stay strong for our son, and most importantly, my Sailor <3
I found a quote today, that kind of reminded me of how i've been feeling ;;
"you never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have"
It made me really think about how strong you really have to be to love a Sailor.
I've never known just how proud you could be of one person until my husband and I got married, he has done SO much for this country, that I just swell up with pride thinking about it.
I miss him. Oh how, I miss him so much.
I swear I'm such a baby sometimes, I have my breakdowns in private.
And bedtime is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS the worst :( That's why it's currently like 12:51 and I'm still wide awake.....

Been MIA

Hi ya!
Just wanted to pop in and give a quick little update, my husband did yet another underway (last one was only 2 weeks though!) yahhooo! And he's home <3 Buuttttt, he's gearing up YET AGAIN, for our very LAST underway, before the "big business trip"
Now, my husband and I call it a buisness trip, because it sounds a lot less scary then deployment, that's just us though.
Right now, It's 1 am. My husband is on duty, and my son is sound asleep. Why I can't sleep, I have no idea.
Just have a lot on my mind, i suppose.

Saturday, March 26, 2011

We're back underway...again. This is one of the final underways, then hello you stupid ugly deployment.
Oh, how your not even here yet and I hate you so.
If only I were able to write a letter to the Navy it would start out exactly like this..
"Dear United States Navy, I HATE you!" haha.
Luckily, this underway is not too long. You know I had an AWESOME diet going while my husband was home, just for it to get shot to hell when he leaves...hummpph.
It's 11:30 and I am wide awake. My little man is asleep and I can't sleep for crap.
My husband re-enlisted for another 3 years. I'm so proud of him. Yet, crushed at the same time. :( He is my hero, my soulmate and my best friend. And I support him 115000%
I guess I'm just being selfish :(

Thursday, February 24, 2011

So I haven't written in awhile. Opps. So we're almost done with this underway.
But we've got so many more underways to go, GAHHHHHH! My husband has recently decided to go ahead and re-enlist for a few more years, yay lucky me..uhh not! lol. If you can't tell I'm not to enthused with this decision. But I'm gonna stand by him and love him more then anything in this world, obviously! DUHHHH! :)
Which also means I shall be facing my very 1st deployment this summer. The mission will be keeping my sanity! Yeah, better SAID then DONE! :)
I went to San Diego when he was pulled in a few weeks ago, It was so amazing seeing him<3
It was the best 4 days of my life :) We miss him so much. :(

So I've been slackin'

So I've started to slack since my husband left. It has been 2 weeks since the ship took the love of my life, I am oh so thankful that this is just a workup and not a deployment. I recieved a phone call yesturday. it was the best 39 minutes and 10 seconds of my life <3 I'm going crazy since he left, there's no doubt about that! He's now in the debation period on if he's ready to get out, stay Navy or go blue to green. Oh the never ending stream of choices!
My MIL has been here for about a week now helping me out with my little one :) Life other then that has been quite boring. Now real exciting. EXPECT, Next month my husband's ship is pulling into some where in southern california.....AND I'M FLYING DOWN THERE TO SEE HIM! Our little guy and I miss him oh so much! I just decided it would be a great chance, as I've never been to California.
My little boy is 2 months old today :( It seems like just yesturday I had him. It's sad seeing him grow up. This is going to be a short post since I've got a fussy little man <3
Until next time :)

And so it begins..

My husband has duty tonight, so I'm going to the boat to say my goodbye's. Seeing him say goodbye to our little boy this morning tore my heart into a million little pieces. I just pray this underway goes by as fast as possible, he leaves VERY soon, and I'm already ready for him to be home. He told me I have to be strong, now that is easier said then done. I'm prepareing for breakdowns everyday, but a part of me is saying I've got to hold it together for our son, but another part is asking well when do I have time to breakdown and get the hurt out. Now, he's not gone very long, but anytime away is no fun at all. Right now, I've got a screaming baby who's been changed, burped, fed, cuddled, etc and nothing is seeming to calm him down. Now, I was told he can read off of my emotions, right now my emotions are pretty numb, so what is he taking off of that? He's seen me cry these past few days, because leading up to the goodbyes are always the worst, but the final goodbye is miserable. I know I have to hold myself together, but honestly I'm pretty sure I've already lost it. I'm in my husbands clothes, I sprayed the bed with his cologne, obviously I'll pull myself together when I go to the boat to see him, it hurts that I can bring our son with me, because for any of you that have been on an aircraft carrier know that there's a lot of stairs and well it's not really child friendly! (haha) We've got our one year wedding anniversary coming up in a week, and honestly I just want to ignore that date and act like it dosen't exsist, but I know I won't be able too.
I'm going to go tend to my crying baby, I'll will write more later after my goodbye.

Saying goodbye was the worst feeling in the world. Apart of me is so empty, I'm so over this already. I'm so ready for it to be over!

Oh the never ending stream of emotions..

Oh today, has just been one of them days and oh it's not even half way over.
This upcoming underway, and when I say upcoming, I mean EXTREMLEY soon! is going to kill me! I'm already stressed out to my limits. I've got an insanely fussy baby today.
How am I going to do this on my own? I'm so gahhhh today. How am I going to handle a month old baby. Concentrate on FINALLY getting my license. Hold down the homefront. And still keep myself together.
This is failure in the making. So dear navy, i hate you. SERIOUSLY.
I'm trying to get my house cleaned up, as we've got a huge pile of dirty laundry sitting in the living room, as we've just got back from New Years leave. We went to Ohio for most of it, then went to Kansas to see my husband's parents. And of course I'm totally procrastinating, like normal. I totally wish I could write the Navy a letter and tell them how I am feeling right now.

So I'm new at this thing.
Let me start by introducing myself, I'm Robin. I'm 19 years old, and I am married to the love of my life, my hero, my sailor Robert. We were married almost a year ago and we have a little boy named Christopher who came into this world on November 30th, he's our world! My husband has been in the United States Navy for almost 5 years now. It's tough being a military wife, but you learn to deal with the things that are thrown at you. (believe me though, it's not easy!) And even though you learn to get used to it, you never really get over the sleepness nights, the long time away, the worrying, the crying, but it will get easier.
